Sewn, top edge shaved close to text, else very good. 420,00 EUR
The first work consists of 16 pp., the second of 40 pp.; this collation of the first part, which is definitely complete, differs from those on WorldCat. Some library listings indicate a third part of 14 pp., not present in this copy. An attractive example of early Colonial Mexican printing. Ignacio de Castorena was a cleric and supporter of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, who had much trouble with the ecclesiastical authorities. He founded in 1722 the first, albeit short-lived, "newspaper" in Hispanic America, the Gazeta de México y Noticias de Nueva Espana.
